Discussion Forums: Rules and Guidelines
The mission of DallasLady.com is to provide a friendly and supportive community for women living or visiting the DFW area. When you post on the board, the following rules and guidelines apply.
Rules
1. The DallasLady.com Terms Of Use are in force at all times.
2. Treat other members with respect:
• Personal insults and personal attacks are not allowed.
• Insults and negative comments directed toward a person are not allowed.
• If you choose to get involved in hot topics, debate without hate.
• Try not to offend and also try not to be easily offended.
3. Do not post offensive materials.
• Pornography is not allowed.
• Use of excessive profanity is discouraged.
• Lascivious content is discouraged, although information and education about sexual health is appropriate.
• Hate group or terrorist sentiments are not allowed.
4. Respect copyright laws and the privacy of other members:
• Do not post private correspondence or excerpts from private correspondence without permission of the author.
• Do not post photos of other members without permission of the subject
• Do not post copyrighted content from other sources without providing a link to the source of the content.
5. Do not air grievances on the board:
• Personal conflicts with other members should be settled privately via PM.
• Grievances with other boards should be settled there and not brought here.
The moderators will not get involved in one-on-one private messaging disputes; however, an individual who is being harassed or threatened via PM should notify a moderator and file a complaint by contacting DallasLady.com.

6. Anonymous IDs created for the purpose of baiting, skirting the rules, or creating a hostile environment will be banned.
Guidelines
1. As a courtesy to others, please tag your posts as follows, so that people can avoid threads that they wish to avoid:
• SPOILERS if your post contains book/TV/movie spoilers
• POL for controversial political topics
• REL for controversial religious topics
• R for sexual content (see rule 3 regarding content)
2. If you profit from or have a vested interest in the sales of any product or service discussed here, please include a short disclosure statement either in your signature or in any posts discussing the product or service in which you have a vested interest. The following affiliations should be disclosed:
• Owners, employees or contractors of a company that sells any of the types of products or services being discussed
Moderation
Moderate your own content and actions. If you do not, the moderators reserve the right to take any of the following actions.
• Warn, suspend, or permanently ban members who break the rules.
• Edit or delete posts.
• Move, lock, or delete threads.
The moderators will determine what constitutes a violation of the rules and what disciplinary actions will be taken for each violation. A regular poster under normal circumstances will be given up to three warnings regarding rule violations before being banned. This courtesy may be foregone if necessary in the best interest of the board. In view of a clear and persistent attempt to disrupt or harass the Forum
or any one of its members, the Mods reserve the right to take whatever action will best serve the Forum
.
If a member has a grievance or dispute over a moderating action, that member should contact the moderators, who will take the complaint under advisement. Moderating issues will not be discussed on the board except at the moderators' discretion.
DallasLady.com reserves the right to amend the rules as necessary.
